This is my real-life experience of with battling the marijuana addiction. The ups, the downs and where I learned the helpful methods of how to quit smoking weed. Many people have a tough time giving up smoking pot (like I did), and a lot of times, it can be a real stressful experience trying to stop on your own without knowing what you should be doing to make the whole process as painless & smooth as possible. If you’re struggling with whot to stop smoking marijuana, just remember that if I was able to, then you are too…

The Green Reaper…

Most of us know the different names for marijuana, but just in case you are new to it or are a parent who is concerned about the matter, I will list some of the more common terms associated to the drug.

marijuana dangers

Well here it goes, anytime you here these words, you’ll know what it’s about: Weed, grass, kind, bud, chronic, pot, blunt, joints, dime bag, cannabis, reefer, bong hit, skunk, blaze, green, narly bud, dank, hash, resin etc…

At first, smoking weed was just about having fun & getting high, there weren’t any reasons to stop smoking pot yet. I would have never thought that it could turn on me & nearly ruin my life ?

But it did, smoking weed turned on me in an ugly way & eventually forced me to seek marijuana recovery. I started having some really messed up experiences shortly after getting addicted to marijuana that I’ll share with you. Here it goes…

Anxiety & Paranoid Feelings When High

These are some of the reasons why I eventually needed to stop smoking weed. Most of the time, I felt real anxious and paranoid for no reason. Also, it felt like people looked down at me as if I were scum or something.

I tried to stay away from folks just to avoid the self-conscious thoughts. Eventually, smoking weed caused me to be very anti-social, which is very unusual for me.

The first time I got stoned, my arms and legs got all numb and started to tingle, it scared the friggin piss out of me! I can’t ever remember being that terrified.

Another bad one was trying to avoid talking to my dad when all he wanted to know was how I’m doin’. It really sucked because the poor guy probably thought that I didn’t want to talk to him.

I had these awkward thoughts about others and even friends, that they are losers and douche bags. I just kept noticing bad things about them and couldn’t explain why. One time, I wanted to deck my friend in the face just because of the way he smirked at me. How twisted is that?

I Had to Stop Smoking Weed !

Finally, I almost went broke from smoking every week because it was like 25 bucks a gram for the “kind bud” (which I had gotten so used to smoking). My grades in school took a dive and I almost lost my part-time job twice from forgetting to set the alarm.

I knew that I just had to stop smoking weed, but didn’t know how to actually quit cannabis without ever turning back to it.

That’s about when I fell into depression & began smoking cigarettes also. So now it turned into this weed vs cigarettes thing…  To escape from it all, I would smoke more pot, which started the whole viscous cycle all over again.

One day, it just hit me like a ton of bricks, I remember thinking, “man I can’t stop smoking weed anymore, I’ll seriously risk losing everything good in life! So first I tried quitting marijuana on my own by shear willpower. Big mistake…

Trying to Stop Smoking Pot by Willpower Didn’t Work!

As far as how to stop smoking weed goes, you probably need to consider a well-known fact (wish I knew this from the start…). That is, willpower just does not work!

How do I know? Well… I made the mistake of trying to stop smoking pot on my own, only to realize that it actually made things worse. Later, I read that it can literally make you even more addicted to marijuana!!

Here’s where I learned all this…

“Will power is worse than useless in forming new habits. In reality, “will-power” is “won’t-power”. A person using will power struggles to break a bad habit. The harder the struggle, the deeper the habit hooks into the flesh”.  (Dr. Maxwell Maltz, Psycho Cybernetics).

“according to the largest ever scientific comparison of ways of breaking the habit. Willpower, it turns out, counts for very little”.  (New Scientist, Volume 136 issue #1845 31 October 1992, page 6)

For me, it always felt like if I had to stop smoking marijuana, so many things that I was so used to would just stop and I wouldn’t know what to do with my new life without weed. It was definitely so much more psychological than anything else really. But why…? what was the root cause of my fear?

I had literally gotten so used to my surrounding and how it all played in to my marijuana addiction that the thought of losing my pothead friends, quitting all the weird things we did and just always getting lost in my own head had me feeling anxious. But the truth was that I knew that I really had to stop smoking weed or else…

I guess people have many reasons as to why they don’t want to stop smoking marijuana “for now”, but if you look at it closely, it all boils down to the fact that they are terrified of CHANGE! Because change seems like an ugly, unwelcomed guest that doesn’t fit in with the rest of us right…?

Listen, I went through the exact same thing man, I don’t know why change seemed like such a bad thing at the time. But it wasn’t till I tried it that it proved itself otherwise. Have you ever gone somewhere that you didn’t want to go, but then, after being there for a little while it didn’t seem too bad?

Well, that’s what change was like for me. After the first few days, i began finding interests in different things that just seemed so cool to me, like wonderful new thoughts and deep emotional relief. eventually, it became so clear to me that I didn’t know what I was doing to my life when smoking pot.

I clearly remember asking myself why i would trade so many good things in life that are possible with being a slave to something that made me more & more miserable… Sometimes we don’t have all the answers when we need them, they come to us later, after certain experiences.

Bottom line, there was no future for me  during the pot years… The depression and uneasy anxieties got so bad that I didn’t care what would happen if I had to stop smoking marijuana, I just had to quit, that’s all I knew…

Listen, change isn’t nearly as bad as you might think it is. Think of some of the best things that ever happened to you because you decided to do something differently. At first, it might have seemed unwelcomed, but then, it became a part of your life right?

Well, that’s what I mean, if you quit smoking pot, your new life might intimidate you and you might feel empty. But I tell you that you might surprise yourself as new things enter your life and help you see things in a different light. You just might love the new you!

If you’re sick of it all and want to stop smoking marijuana, just open your heart and welcome change, then don’t look back!

What happened next… Well, I finally learned how to stop smoking weed…!

Realizing that willpower was pretty much useless when it came to quitting marijuana, I decided to try anti-depressants, thinking  it might somehow help stop smoking weed easier by taking away the depression.

So I got a bottle of SSRI’s with my parent’s help.  But it was like replacing pot with some other drug, only this one had it’s own side effects. I was familiar with weed facts & weed side effects, but not this…

So did I stop smoking weed…?

Nope, quitting marijuana requires quite a different approach. Instead it made me drowsy & nauseous. Going to sleep became a problem and I felt like a friken zombie. I remember thinking, “man I just want to quit cannabis”.

Not only was it useless for quitting marijuana, Later I found out that you could actually get hooked on the crap and have withdrawals!!! (as if marijuana recovery wasn’t enough…) Bottom line, I didn’t stop smoking weed.

Instead, to deal with all this, you can pretty much guess what I did right…? Ya, got to smoking weed again…  At this point, quitting marijuana seemed like the impossible mission.

I was getting nowhere fast and had to find other ways to stop smoking weed & get marijuana help.

So (as you do) I searched online for something like “how to stop smoking weed”. Soon enough, I came across this easy 5-step quitting marijuana program.

It had great stop smoking pot success stories (check their website out – it’s unbelievable) so I bought it right there and then.

The 5 step guide took me by the hand and led me step by step towards quitting marijuana in the most effective & painless methods! It guided me through everything I was actually feeling, thinking and having a hard time with. Then, it gave me realistic solutions that totally worked!

I was able to use it in the privacy of my own room & with headphones on, as the audio & visual treatments did their job. I literally felt it working from the get-go.

But the only issue is that if you want to stop smoking weed, you have to use it every day. Long story short, it was the light at the end of the tunnel for my marijuana recovery.

Click here if you want to see the program I’m talking about

Finally, I didn’t have to struggle to stop smoking weed on my own…

There are a lot of people out there addicted to marijuana who are looking for help and if you’re in the same boat, then this could be the beginning for your quitting marijuana victory.

I remember times when it felt like my life was going down the drain, everything just sucked, people were this and that, no one cares, who can possibly understand, things are never going to get better, I can’t stop smoking weed, blah blah blah…

But things took a turn for the better in a hurry as the addiction to marijuana gradually withered away, along with it’s grim consequences. And I started saying, “I could stop smoking marijuana…I could stop smoking pot.”

If someone back then would have told me how my life would be right now, I would’ve never believed him.

The thought that one day, I would be able to help stop smoking weed, learn how to blog and even get a decent job was daydream stuff.  But it happened…!

I always knew that there were people who really needed stop smoking weed secrets because they were addicted to marijuana. But man, the though that it could happen to me was never real. It just seemed impossible that I could get hooked on anything, let alone need help stop smoking weed…

Well, eventually Marijuana recovery became the most important issue for me because pot was really screwing up my life pretty bad. I wasn’t getting that bliss of getting high anymore, like someone flipped the switch on me or something. I can remember saying, “oh man, I can’t stop smoking weed.”

The real reason I had to stop smoking marijuana was that I just started having some really messed up experiences and began dreading the mess I was in. It didn’t just affect me either, folks that cared about me were also suffering because I was addicted to marijuana.

I smoked bud constantly for about 5 years before finally learning how to stop smoking weed.  In high school & college, I was surrounded by all kinds of stuff, and pot was one of them.

At first, it was easy to say no, but one day I decided to smoke pot to see what it was all about. It only took me one time to experience the full weed side effects, and I was hooked…

It was never something I was proud of & I knew too well that I had to stop smoking marijuana. But the thing is,  it took my mind away from the realities of every day life, until the problems started….

I had gotten so used to smoking weed, that it literally became a craving from the time I woke up until I crashed. In so many words, I needed to stop smoking weed bad.

At first, I tried quitting marijuana three times by shear willpower(the hard way), a few times by following tips that people left online and this quit cannabis book a friend gave me. But I just kept slipping back, again and again.

Who knows where I’d be today without the easy-stop smoking marijuana program. Man, I’m not going there…

The bottom line was that I needed change in my life, so it was the start of a journey to stop smoking weed, achieve more & help others who are addicted to marijuana.

Asta la vista weed, I quit cannabis!

Everyday is a new day for me after learning how to stop smoking weed. I’m finally able to go after & achieve things that can only happen once things like smoking weed are out of the way. It’s like my mind is thanking me for quitting marijuana. There’s a zillion reasons why the effects of weed takes away all  the goodness of life.

Sometimes it’s hard to realize it, but others see it as clear as day, that “your just not yourself anymore…” It goes more than skin deep when you hear that a few times. I thank God for those words because it hurt enough for me to say, “that’s it, I gotta do something about this, I gotta stop smoking weed…”

Now, there’s no more of that unnecessary-stupid anxiety, fear, paranoia, hiding, low self-esteem, self-consciousness, awkward feelings, bad grades, dead-end-life, loser-pothead crowd, weed side effects, going broke etc…

It’s been over a year & a half  that I’m clean and the desire to smoke weed is too weak to even matter. The best part is, I didn’t have to fight so hard while quitting marijuana…

If they ever get to read this, the only thing I can say is a wholehearted,  Thank you!!! It was because of your audio program that I was able to finally stop smoking weed!

I really hope you found this information useful and want you to believe that if I can get help stop smoking weed, then so can you baby. Stop robbing yourself from the goodness of life!

Look guys, please stop kidding yourselves and trying to constantly make it seem like smoking pot is the “sign of the times” these days, like it’s this “movement” we’re in today, so therefore it’s perfectly the right thing to do and that it can’t harm you in any way… Because You and I Know Better…!

No matter how you try to picture it in your head, you know exactly what’s going to happen all over again right before taking that hit. Ya, you’re going to feel weird again, start having lame-ass thoughts constantly bombarding your mind and disconnecting you from the world, you’ll start looking like this idiot who smirks and giggles at nothing like a retard and you won’t have an ounce of confidence left in your body!

Please, at least if you’re going to do it, don’t try to convince anyone or yourself that it’s going to be exactly how you imagine it will be in your own fantasies alright… IT’S A FRIKEN DRUG PEOPLE!!!! You know what drugs can do to your character and how they can change you into a person even you can’t recognize!

Every moron who wears a pot shirt trying to make it look like there’s no reason to stop smoking marijuana and trying to look cool goes through the same mental torment after every time he lights a joint. He/she knows it, but still prefers to make it look like it’s the greatest thing ever… Please, don’t be stupid like this.

There is a plethora of reasons already mentioned in this blog about why I and many like myself had to stop smoking marijuana and quit weed forever. But if I had to pick one reason to quit smoking pot above all the other reasons, it would have to be because IT TAKES ALL THE GOODNESS AWAY FROM LIFE & MAKES A BEAUTIFUL PERSON LIKE YOU INTO A SUB-HUMAN!!!

Look guys, the choice to stop smoking marijuana is ultimately yours and no one can make up your mind. But if you’re going to get anything out of this message than let it be the fact that with your own hand, you are going against your own self. You are sabotaging and giving your own self sh*t-end of the stick. WHY?!

I can sometimes understand why others want the worst for someone else but I can never make sense of why someone would destroy him/herself…

Anyway, I think I got it all out and made my point. And that is: If you want to keep messing your life up with your own hands…keep smoking pot. Otherwise, visit the 5-Step program that helped me quickly kick the habit and move on with my life. Stop smoking marijuana folks, You Know What It Does To You Every Single Time!

Just please stop lying to yourselves guys, it’s not going to change the disruptive side effects of weed.

I have provided links to the right side-bar of this site and in the main homepage for you to click and get really effective marijuana help. Don’t waste another day…

Regards,

James
